My Adoption Contract!!

Sooooo, Lisa---- isn't there something in my Adoption that specificallly talks about abuse?? Do you see my face?? Do I look amused???? Is anybody taking notice that the past TWO posts have been about taking me swimming??? I am a LAND retriever?? What's this big swimming kick? And rumors of another pool outing next Sunday??!!?? Lisa, a little help please!

Yeah, wooo I have a life vest on (the real reason I'm smiling is because we're OUT of the water & I'm hoping we're done & not just on safety check break)

Two hours of swimming. . . it was for a good cause. . . raising $$ for the local humane society.. .

But you should keep reading, because my big brother really had an AWESOME time & woulda' made his Frenchie-poo water retrieving ancestors proud. Read on----> (but Lisa, could you also review my contract please?)

My big brother,the super-star!

So as stated in the above blog, my mother d-r-u-g us to the annual doggie dip fund raiser (some of us more against our will than others)

My brother obviously found his water-retriever roots last year & securely reconnected with them this year!!

He swam the ENTIRE time we were there!!! And jumped in the pool after the kids (making me look all kinds of bad!!) Then they got his Orbi-ball out (which floats no matter how you throw it)

And he swam all over back & forth with it in his mouth! (which DID distract mom from me for awhile!! Thanks Mac!!) He's really excited to swim again this Sunday, I, on the other paw, am NOT!

Gotta give the poodle props, he did look pretty cool!

I'm a camping dog!!! I was the ONLY boy allowed on the Girls Only River Weekend!! (aren't I special)

They got the tent set up w/o instructions in 25 minutes (which is faster than we got back to safety @ the river!!)



I had my own "pup tent" but I slept with mom on an air mattress. Val & Corrina thought we were way-cute.

Girls only picnic! Lots of good food!







The neighboring site was an all-girls camping trip too! The volunteered to watch me while mom & the girls went floating on the lake (THANK GOD!! I didn't want to play in the water after yesterday's escapades!)

A good time was had by all!!!

The River

My mother thought it would be a "fun" idea to take a weekend trip to the river. She thought the innertubes & new lifejacket would convince me it would be a good time. It did not.



It took one minute to float 500ft down the river, and 26 to fight the current to get back up. I'm not sure what she & Val were laughing at, I thought we were gonna

D-I-E!!!

At least Val had the good sense to decide innertube time was over, but we stayed & swam more. Once we were closer to the edge it wasn't quite soooo bad. We got to do some bird watching (my PERONAL FAVORITE) & a little more swimming

It turned out not so bad, the water was cool on a warm summer day & I was so tired I zonked out shortly after we left.

The Merriest Christmas

This is the view we had from our room. I LOVED all the windows, being able to look @ the birds & the arch--which my marvelous mum took us jogging around every day. We both had our jingle collars on & everyone we met thought we were awful fancy. The people at the front desk handed out dog cookies too--Yumm-O!

Our room had a living room,too. Even though there is a strict NO DOGS on the furniture (except for the beds) policy @ home daddy-dear said "we're on vacation" so I got to get up on the couch.

This is us after we spent ALL DAY @ doggie daycare while the 'rents went to the Rams game. Aunt Ei tried to walk all 4 of us home (you can almost see the top of Sammy's head) but it was icy & she has a bum knee so mom & Aunt Duckie had to come rescue her.

All the canine cousins--- Wooooooo Woooo the pose was ALL MY idea! From left to right: Phoenix Zen (aka PZ) a mastiff/rott adopted from OHS, Hawk English setter adopted from IBR, Mac a Standard Poodle adopted from a KI client, & Sammy the Bulldog was also adopted. Wooooooo Woooooo Wooooooo for adopted dogs!!!!

Are you freakin' kidding me?!?!????!!! Do you SEE what my Auntie did to me??!!?? And then she had the nerve to kiss the other cheek too!! Lisa~ there has GOT to be something against this in my contract!! It didn't even come off with soap & water! Bbbbblleeeeeek!
